The Washington Ballet Wonderland

To mark its 10th anniversary, the Washington Ballet launched a commemorative book, titled Wonderland. It's a stunning, coffee-table compilation of images featuring the Ballet's landmark productions, recreated in mystical places in Washington DC. The project, which was photographed and designed for free and printed at cost, is demonstrative of a greater trend of teamwork and community cooperation, which has become increasingly important to TWB’s continued prominence and success. In light of a $1 million earmark reduction in city funding, TWB needed to find a way to continue its prominence as a world-class institution, but also make ballet accessible to all with educational and community programs. The book garners appreciation for the craft and talent of the dancers, while helping to fund these initiatives.
