When our friends at Kurz said they were attending MJBizCon and wanted to collaborate on a promotional piece, we were super stoked. We've produced many-a-box for our cannabis clients, but rarely do we have a chance to design it from scratch. As this was created for a cannabis trade show, the rays of foil are geometric abstraction of cannabis leaves, which also play off of the structure and angles of the box itself. The box has a really satisfying click when you open and close it. The embossed areas on the front and top of the box really bolster the tactility of the piece. The tonal black foil on black paper adds an additional element of visual texture with both tactility and a subtle sheen. The bronze foil also feels really on point with the current design trends. Kurz provided foils. Neenah provided paper. H+M provided tooling. Studio On Fire provided design (structure and graphic) and production.
